Hello,
I’m a self-taught artist who loves to create visual and digital art. When not focusing on art, I spend my time focusing on science. I’m an immunologist interesting in the human immune response to viruses, vaccines, and aging.
The pandemic has revealed a void in communicating scientific concepts to the general public. Science can no longer live on a tower of solitude. Scientists make discoveries every day that impacts every aspect of our lives. We have a natural curiosity and care to make the world a better place. We are an increasingly diverse group of individuals bringing different perspectives and ideas into the lab. We need to show our humanity in order to build trust and understanding of scientific concepts.
I created this creative space to talk about my science journey and explore ways to use art to communicate scientific concepts. My objective is to use creative writing and digital art to convey scientific concepts/understandings to different audiences. Hopefully, this space can increase transparency in science, help people make better-informed decisions, and inspire the next generation of scientists.
